Baked Cougar Bakes - Making late night magic

On any given night out with friends, I am very well known for my stealthy Irish exits. What isn’t known is that once I exit, I am on my way home to make a guilty pleasure treat, smoke a blunt, all while listening to whatever is my favorite song at the time on a very hard repeat.

This is me living my best life. Judge me, I do.

Tonight I made one of my all time favorite guilty pleasure treats, Magic Bars. They are ridiculously easy to make and I have yet to meet a person (that has a soul) that doesn’t love these treats. My spin on these perennial favorites is using Golden Grahams cereal to make the graham cracker crust. I know, mind blown.

Next time you make your Irish exit, get yourself home to make these and get to guilty pleasuring yourself.

Pre heat oven to 350 degrees

Spray a 13 x 9 pan with Pam, line with aluminum foil and spray again.

Grind up 1 1/2 cups of Golden Grahams cereal with 1 Graham Cracker. Grind it up the way darling Nikki did for Prince. Place into a bowl and add 1/2 cup melted butter. Stir together and press into the bottom of that pan you prepared.

Coarsely chop 1/2 cup of pecans, not too big. not to fine. Or hell, however you want these nuts in your mouth.

Now pour 1 (14 oz can) of sweetened condensed milk evenly over the crumb mixture.

Layer evenly with 2 cups chocolate chips, the ground pecans and then 1 1/2 cup flaked coconut.

If you’re tired at this point, hang on, you are almost there.

Bake for 25 minutes or until the coconut is lightly browned. Let cool in pan

Once they are fully cooled off, lift out of pan and cut into bars. Or diamonds. Or circles. This is your guilty pleasure, make it into any shape your heart desires. Now take a look at all that magic you just created.

You are amazing.

Happy indulging and see you next Tuesday with another treat that I like to put into my mouth.
